The Husky Lodge is located 4km from Kiruna city center, amidst beautiful arctic nature. You will enjoy stunning views and even see the dogs playing in your yard. Guests can pet the huskies and even help the staff to prepare the dogs for an outing - surely a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

What is included

Sample itinerary

DAY 1 - DAY ARRIVAL IN KIRUNA

Individual arrival in Kiruna. Pick up from Kiruna Train station at 14:00 (different time/place possible if agreed in advance with the host)

Arrival at the Husky Lodge.

Lodging and free time. The location is offering wild nature and scenic views.

DAY 2 - HUSKIES AND SNOWMOBILES*

Husky/ Snowmobile safari (duration of the activity about 2h)

Free time for spending time with the dogs, hiking, snowshoeing and hunting the Northern lights.

Warm up in the sauna.

DAY 3 - DEPARTURE

Check out and transfer to Kiruna.

Free time. You can visit Kiruna city or make your way to the Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel.

NB! You can rent snowshoes straight from the accommodation provider (250 sek/day) and follow the tracks in the wilderness. You can get involved in the daily routine with the dogs and take a day trip on your own to Kiruna or Jukkasjärvi Ice Hotel.

Activities

THE HUSKY SAFARI AND SNOWMOBILE SAFARI COMBO

INCLUDED - Price at destination from 160€ // activity duration 2 hours + transportation // difficulty: moderate

This is the king of all Lapland adventures! The tour takes about 2 hours and half of it is on a dog sled and the other half on a snowmobile. The dog sled is driven by a professional musher (2-4 people in a sled) and it covers a distance of a minimum of 5 km. Warm overalls are included and also a warm drink.

IMPORTANT:

- the combined activity can take place with min 4 participants, if less then will be replaced with husky safari (same overall duration)

Accommodation

Accommodation in twin/double rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen.

Husky Lodge is located in Kiruna, 4km from Kiruna City Center. Views of the dogs playing in the yard and the surrounding nature can be enjoyed from the property. WiFi and parking are free. Rooms are simply decorated and include a wardrobe and a garden view. You have access to a shared kitchen and bathroom with underfloor heating. You can interact with the huskies and even help the staff prepare the huskies for an outing.

LKAB Visitor Centre and Kiruna Folkets Hus are 4 km away from Husky Lodge. The nearest airport is Kiruna Airport, 12 km from Husky Lodge.
